@ Spotlight Dance & Fitness
A very impressive turnout for the
opening night of this event @ Spotlight
Dance & Fitness. They had
beginning salsa lessons as well
as advanced by Yemaya,
live band, two performances, and
raffle prizes all night long. This
was the biggest salsa event I've
seen in Sacramento for a while.
For those who missed this one, catch
it next time, every first saturday
of the month.

Spotlight
Dance Sport is a very nice dance
studio with two good size dance floors.
They offer a variety of Ballroom dances,
package deals with unilimited group
lessons and private lessons at a reasonable
rate, and social dances about every
week. This salsa class was instructed
by Walter.

And by sheer numbers, the
Ballroom has to be one of Sacramento's
most popular studios to take beginning
salsa lessons. Lessons are offered
Monday and Tuesday Night. Tonight's
classes were taught by Mr. Mike Del
Campo, whom also teaches at Del
Campo Studios (T&Th), Harlow's
Night Club (Sunday), and @
the Station Night Club in Roseville
(Th).

Bachata not "Bachatta"
Hi!
My name is "Anonymous". Pleasure meeting
you. I have to tell you, I'm new here and believe
you me, there are some things that you have
to adjust to and others if you have in your
power at all to change you will try your hardest
to change. Let me explain.
Northern California does not give Bachata (merengue
even) the play it very well deserves. I do not
know about other parts of CA. I'm new to CA
just moved from VA 7 months ago. On the east
coast, Bachata is HUGE. Not because its from
the Dominican Republic and there are a wonderful
amount of Dominicans out there, but because
its just wonderful music...
